Shipping Information

All cars must be in running condition. An inoperable car will not be shipped. It will be stored at the port until owner is able to get it running, during which time it will incur storage charges.

All cars must be completely empty (except factory installed equipment), contain no more than 1/4 tank of gas, and all keys must accompany the vehicle.

We need a Hawaiian contact (including name, address, and phone number) in order to ship the vehicle. Contact will be notified when the car arrives in Hawaii.

There are no reservations available. It is a "first come-first served" policy at the port. Actual shipping time from California to Hawaii is approximately one week. During the summer months, delays of one to three weeks may occur.

When your vehicle is loaded on a vessel, a "Notice of Arrival" is mailed to the consignee's address. It will indicate when the automobile will be available for pick-up.

Your car is covered by insurance of $1,000 per 40 cubic feet (approximately $10,000) while on the ship. You may purchase additional marine insurance by contacting a private insurance agency.

Your car is shipped below deck (not containerized) on a roll on/roll of auto liner. Your car is not exposed to the elements.

If you are shipping FROM Hawaii to the mainland, the State of Hawaii requires proof of ownership when the vehicle is delivered to the port. Thus, you must bring with the vehicle a certificate of ownership and a current certificate of registration. If someone other than the registered owner is shipping the automobile, they must have a letter of authorization from the registered owner and a current certificate of registration. Lastly, if there is a lien holder named on the registration, a letter from the lien holder authorizing shipment from Hawaii is required.

Full payment must be made by Wire Transfer, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, or Discover in advance of shipment.         

Overseas Shipping Information

Cars must be completely empty, except for factory installed equipment. You may have no more than 1/2 tank of gas, and all keys must accompany cars. All cars must be in running condition for roll on/roll off service.

Custom regulations require that you have the original title along with three copies of the title, front and back. (Only one copy front and back is required for Puerto Rico shipments). THESE MUST ACCOMPANY THE VEHICLE TO THE PORT. If there are any liens against the vehicle, a notarized letter from the lien holder authorizing the export of the vehicle must also accompany the car.

The price quote is based on cubic feet measurements. Older, oversized, and customized vehicles will be measured at the port. If they differ from the measurements given by the customer, any additional cost most be paid prior to shipping.

Price does include port fees in the USA. However, should your vehicle need to be stored at the US port for any reason (i.e. improper paperwork), those fees are also the responsibility of the shipper. The price does NOT INCLUDE storage fees, handling and custom duties at the overseas destination.

Also included in the price is catastrophic insurance. This insurance is for any catastrophe that may happen, i.e. the ship sinks. There are companies that provide marine insurance for you vehicle. Some auto insurance policies also cover overseas shipping. Please check with your insurance agent about this.

Ships depart approximately every week, with delivery times of approximately 14-21 days. Some destinations require a transshipment and may take an additional 7 to 21 days.

To Place an Order, We Need The Following:

1. Year, make and model of vehicle.
2. License plate and VIN number.
3. Car measurements for older, oversized or customized vehicle (length, width, height);
4. Approximate value in US dollars.
5. Name, mailing address and phone numbers in the US.
6. Name, mailing address and phone numbers overseas.
7. Full payment by cashiers check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express or Discover.
8. Copy (non-notarized) of the front and back of the title.
9. A Shipping Order-Bill of Lading filled out and signed.
10. For orders placed less than 5 business days before shipment, please add $150.00 service fee for expedited processing.
